Project Overview
This project centred on a rooftop garden in London, which required a modern makeover. Despite the limited space, the SilvaTree team proposed a mixture of hardscaping and planting to bring the garden to life, offering all-weather use and a contemporary layout that complements the rest of the property.
Rooftop Garden Design
To create a contemporary, all-weather landscape for our clients in London, we centred the rooftop garden design on a combination of hard-wearing surfaces. To contrast this and add some colour to the space, we proposed a mixture of planting pots and simple timber planters for a combination of decorative grasses and foliage.
Paving And Decking Installation
The majority of this rooftop garden design centred on porcelain paving, which created the main parameter of the landscape and provided the main surface for the space. The sleek, modern paving complements the modern features of the property with it’s cool-toned shading.
For contrast and additional usability, we installed Millboard decking in warm timber shades in the centre of the garden. To align with the unique shape of the rooftop garden design, the decking is circular and presents a stunning centrepiece ready for garden furniture such as a bistro set or dining table, where our clients can enjoy the sunshine and greenery in style.
Planting Adornments
As the majority of this rooftop garden design is neutral hardscaping, we proposed planters and pots to add greenery and soften the design.
An eclectic mixture of plants and small trees has been installed by the SilvaTree team to circle the main decking area and offer seasonal interest to this rooftop garden.
