Project Overview
SilvaTree performed a full front garden makeover for a Victorian terraced home in Arundel, West Sussex. The property now has a whole new lease of life with bespoke sandstone paving, raised planting beds, and wildlife-friendly planting.
The previously tired outdoor space has now become a fantastic oasis for the family, creating a stunning entrance to their home.
Front Garden Makeover Design
This front garden makeover relied on hard landscaping, with stunning Mint Indian Sandstone paving being installed to add warmth and texture to the space. This paving complements the traditional style of the property well, and gives the illusion of a larger garden with the light colours.
Fencing has also been installed on both sides of the property to add height and privacy to the space. We used Jackson’s Close Board fencing for a completely secluded appearance.
Diverse Planting Scheme
To add colour and seasonal interest to the front garden makeover, we have installed raised sleeper beds made from oak to complement the new fencing and warm paving.
Our landscape gardeners filled these planters with a beautiful selection of perennials, including Penstemon and Salvias, interspersed with lush greenery of contrasting shades. This creates a diverse, colourful display that provides year-round texture and interest to the front garden.
Planting has been continued alongside the newly installed sandstone paving and across the front of the property, for a uniform appearance and increased kerb appeal. With such a mix of planting, our garden designers have maximised the potential of this little garden and given the whole space such an exciting uplift.
