This stunning garden makeover took place in Beckenham, where the SilvaTree team renovated an outdoor space with a contemporary garden design, with clean lines and minimalist planting. Rustic details such as Millboard decking, a wooden pergola and railway sleepers add softness to the design and make the outdoor space suitable to be used all year round.
Modern Garden Makeover With Patios
This garden incorporates a clean, contemporary design that blends structure with natural softness. It centres on sleek paving materials and patios designed for outdoor living, creating a garden that is as functional as it is beautiful.
At the heart of this garden design is a striking Silver Kandla Grey porcelain patio. This cool grey surface is suitable for entertaining, and provides a modern contrast to the surrounding greenery.
Porcelain Paving
This modern porcelain paving continues throughout the garden and circles around a large central planter and beneath a feature arch, guiding movement throughout the garden. By using the same modern paving throughout the garden, we successfully created a sense of balance.
A circular patio in matching Silver Kandla Grey acts as a focal point within the garden, offering a dedicated seating or feature area that softens and contrasts with the rest of the linear layout.
Millboard Decking
Flowing seamlessly from this main patio is the deck. For this, we used Millboard Enhanced Grain decking in Brushed Basalt to provide a sleek, low-maintenance surface with the rich appearance of real wood. This deck is ideal for lounging or outdoor dining and complements the overall contemporary garden design and grey colour palette.
A stunning Utopia wooden pergola introduces height and structure to the garden, and has been installed to frame the patio beneath, adding warmth through its natural timber finish.
Lawn & Rustic Planting
Railway sleepers are used throughout the garden to define levels and construct the raised planters, bringing a robust, rustic texture that complements both the porcelain and decking. These planters are ready to be filled with vibrant planting, adding seasonal colour.
Completing the space is a lush, turf lawn, which softens the overall design. By using real grass, we have created a fresh, inviting contrast to the hard landscaping while providing a practical area for relaxation and recreation.
