Project Overview
For this garden makeover, our landscaping experts at SilvaTree visited a property in London which was dealing with a tired, dilapidated garden. The current landscape was poorly maintained and worn, with an unkempt lawn area and deteriorating fencing.
Our clients wanted a garden that would be suitable for hosting and entertaining, and we were more than happy to deliver.
Garden Makeover Begins
To create a new garden design, the existing landscape needed to be excavated to remove the overgrown turf, crumbling fencing, pergola and old shed. From here, we had a clean slate that allowed us to plan out the new patio area and garden design for the entertainment space, as requested by our clients.
New Pergola And Fencing Installed
With the clean slate, we began installing the new fencing made from Venetian Hit and Miss panels. This particular style of fencing is a great solution for privacy without compromising the comfort of your garden, as the alternating panels allow for air to pass through easily. Panels are installed horizontally with small gaps in between.
As well as offering privacy from the surrounding neighbours, this style of fencing is contemporary and aligns with the new purpose of the landscape.
The same shade and type of wood panels were used to construct a pergola over half of the new paved area, which would offer covering and additional protection to future seating areas.
Gravel Paving
To finish this garden makeover, gravel paving was installed with warm stones to complement the new fencing and pergola, as well as set the stage for the new entertainment area our client desired. They had plans to invest in new outdoor seating and decor items to create the perfect space to host friends and family throughout the summer.
